"Materializing from the Brooklyn, New York improv scene, Zoku Metsu, combine experimental, electronic musician Robert L. Pepper (Pas Musique, The Jazzfakers) and avant guitarist, composer Ron Anderson (PAK, The Molecules, Ronruins). Pepper and Anderson first combined their efforts joining Philippe Petit and David Tamura, on the 2010 improv session "Closed Encounters of the 4 Minds", cd release on Public Eyesore Records. Now they join again to form 7 new more structured and concentrated compositions on a new vinyl out on the Alrealon Musique label.
Zoku Metsu derive their name from the Japanese language meaning "destroy the whole family". The name takes on reinventing and reorganizing new music techniques using experimental electronics, guitars through effects, and drum machine rhythms. Even after the tracks were completed, perfected, and ready they were cut and spliced several times to stay with the Zoku Metsu editing technique of "destroying the whole family".
Zoku Metsu's original starting point of inspiration is a love of 70’s German bands; e.g. Neu!, Faust, and also the Berlin School and Krautrock in general. But it’s really about just letting imaginations fly and taking a sonic voyage.".- ZOKU METSU
