Materializing from the Brooklyn, New York improv scene, Zoku Metsu, combine experimental, electronic musician Robert L. Pepper (Pas Musique, The Jazzfakers) and avant guitarist, composer Ron Anderson (PAK, The Molecules, Ronruins). Pepper and Anderson first combined their efforts joining Philippe Petit and David Tamura, on the 2010 improv session "Closed Encounters of the 4 Minds", cd release on Public Eyesore Records. Now they join again to form 7 new structured and concentrated compositions on a new vinyl released on the Alrealon Musique label.
Zoku Metsu derive their name from the Japanese word Zokumetsu meaning Òdestroy the whole familyÓ. The name invokes ideas of reinventing, or the reorganizing of studio techniques as applied to experimental electronics, guitars and drum machines.
Zoku Metsu's original starting point of inspiration is a love of 70Õs German bands; e.g.Neu!, Faust, the Berlin School, and Krautrock in general. Let your imaginations fly and take a sonic voyage with Zoku Metsu.
