BIOGRAPHY 2003
Introduction:
Weeping Birth is an extreme metal entity originating from Switzerland and lead by only one man: myself, Vladimir. Influenced by a very wide range of formations, may they be metal or not, the music I create evolves within a very fast death metal style, strongly influenced by black metal consonances.
Personally outraged at man’s passivity towards its cultural and “intellectual” heritage as well as at its sinister consequences, I constantly feel suffocated by a feeling of ill-being and disgust with regards to my condition of “fellow creature”. The themes that are treated in the lyrics of my songs deal first, in “A Painting of Raven and Rape”, with the feeling of anti-sameness with the majority of the elements of my race and the resulting sensation of nausea. The future will show us that this sense will mute into a pure hatred and repugnance in the coming Weeping Birth’s production, which should be released some day in 2004.
1999:
Weeping Birth was born in 1999 from my inner need of creating, under the name of a distinct entity, an extreme and evolutionary music able to transcribe the meanderlike convolutions that my spirit traces. Deciding at the time to be assisted by bassist Lionel Moser, I composed then recorded in the month of August of the same year the seven tracks of the first demo/promo CD-R “Officium Tenebrarum”. After seeing the excellent reception of this first self production, I started composing new material. I took at this moment the decision to carry on my work on my own and parting ways with Lionel, considering the turn that Weeping Birth was taking as too personal to share.
2000-2003:
One year later, a new album entitled “A Painting of Raven and Rape” was composed and recorded. But instead of releasing it as I should have done, I kept it hidden for exactly three long years. Even though this period was silent for Weeping Birth, I kept composing enough material for two, or even three more albums. I also gave birth to new solo musical projects such as Mirrorthrone [in which I released “Of Wind and Weeping” on Red Stream in 2003] or Unholy Matrimony [self producing “Love & Death” in 2002 and releasing “Mislogie” in 2003 on Melancholia Records].
2003:
September 2003 announces the come back of Weeping Birth with finally the self release of “A Painting of Raven and Rape”, now available on http://www.weepignbirth.com |
